Our Interactive Notebook
This year I am trying something new, which I think will be beneficial to the students, parents/guardians, and me! It is called an Interactive Notebook. Your child will not be getting a large math workbook that they may have had in the past. Instead, we will be using these Iinteractive Notebooks. This will be brought home each night so that you can see what your child is learning in class. Most days we will be adding notes and your child will show what they know. This will be a great study guide for quizzes and tests. There are guidelines to the notebooks to make them most useful. I have attached the guidelines and the grading rubric. These will be one of the first pages of the notebook, so that your child will have them at all times. This notebook will be graded at the end of a unit as well as informally once or twice throughout the unit. I may not be telling the students when I am informally checking, since the expectation is that is will be neat and complete at ALL times.
