Books, Books, and MORE Books!
What better way to learn about new books then talking about them! Today, you will write about a book that you are currently reading. Your response must include the following:
*the title and author of the book
*the genre of the book (use your genre list)--tell how you know
*a sentence or two about your book.
Be sure to use complete sentences and correct CUPS as you write your response.
Here is an example of how a response should look:
I'm reading The 6th Grade Nickname Game by Gordon Korman. The genre of this book is realistic fiction. The way I know I know this is because the plot in the story could be something that happens in real life. It is about two boys, Jeff and Wiley, who are the 6th grade legends. There is a new teacher that calls everyone mean.
Once you have written a response, the comment on another students reading response by asking a question or making a statement. Don't give away the ending!!
